Privacy choices

ShelfSum is designed so its core shopping workflow can be used without an account.

Camera and photos

You can use manual entry instead of scanning. Camera/photo permissions can be changed in iPhone Settings. Denying a permission disables that related feature but does not require you to upload shopping data elsewhere.

Local shopping data

Use Settings > Delete all local data to remove ShelfSum's local cart, saved trips, shopping profiles and barcode recall from that device. Clearing only the active cart is not the same as deleting all local data.

Deleting local ShelfSum data does not automatically erase independent device/iCloud backups or original photos in your photo library. Those are controlled through Apple/device settings.

Support and privacy requests

You decide whether to email support. If you sent information to sameddev@protonmail.com and want to request access, correction or deletion where applicable, email that address with enough information to identify the support conversation. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

We cannot remotely retrieve or erase shopping records that only exist on your iPhone.
